Recently, I’ve had a patient come and ask me, what is a porcelain veneer? And a porcelain veneer is something that is made, generally made in a laboratory. So the difference between just bonding and a porcelain veneer is the veneer is made in a lab versus bonding, which is just done directly by hand. And an impression is taken, or a scan is taken of the tooth and it’s sent away and then it’s bonded to the tooth when it comes back in one piece.
