Seeing a Dentist for the First Time

Seeing a Dentist for the First Time

Are you nervous because you will be seeing a dentist for the first time and don’t know what to expect? When you arrive for your first appointment, you will be greeted by our receptionist who will provide you with the new patient intake form. You can relax in our waiting room, watch TV, and enjoy a coffee while you fill out the paperwork.

Once you’ve completed the paperwork, the doctor will perform a thorough cleaning and evaluation of your x-rays. Your dental and medical history will be discussed and an oral exam will be performed to check the soft tissue, gums, teeth, and existing restorations for decay. If necessary, we will suggest a comprehensive Buffalo dental treatment plan that’s right for you.

We always address immediate problems and provide recommendations for maintaining long-term oral health, so minor issues today don’t turn into larger issues in the future. As a dentist, I believe that good dental care begins with open communication, so your first visit will help us get acquainted with one another, and give me the opportunity to learn about your goals and desires for your Buffalo dental treatment.
