Teeth Whitening Cost and Benefits

Are you unhappy with the appearance of your smile? Discoloration and stains can make a smile look aged and unhealthy. There are a lot of things that can cause your teeth to become stained. The foods you eat and the drinks you enjoy can corrode your tooth enamel. If you have been looking for a way to achieve a beautiful smile and you want to know about the teeth whitening cost, please give us a call today. We would love to get you set up with a free consultation with our Amherst dentist, Dr. Douglas Hamill.

Zoom Teeth Whitening Cost

Zoom whitening is one of the two methods we provide for our clients to get a dazzling smile. Clients love it because it is a quick treatment with huge results.

The treatment uses a bleaching mixture that has peroxide placed onto the tooth’s surface. Your stains will disappear. Your enamel will be cleaned and be free to shine through as a bright white.

You will receive three treatments that last only fifteen minutes. We even give you the option of taking home custom trays to keep up with this treatment after receiving your third one in the office with our dentist. If you perform this treatment once bi-monthly, you are going to have the best results.

If you come into the office for your initial three treatments as well as take-home custom trays for at-home upkeep, the cost is going to be $499. If you opt out of having a dentist perform your initial care, you can get take-home trays for $299.

Why You Should Avoid DIY Kits

If you have ever thought that the professional teeth whitening cost was too high, you have likely looked into DIY whitening kits. There are many potential consequences of using whitening kits at home from anywhere other than your dentist. As mentioned, you can receive legitimate kits to use at home from our Amherst dentist. These are vastly different than those you would receive at a drugstore or online.

The DIY kits you see in stores and online are not custom fit to your teeth. If the kits have trays, you are likely to have one that is poorly fitting. This means that you are at risk of having the whitening paste or gel leak up onto your gums to cause irritation.

You also do not know if your results are going to be consistent with DIY kits. Whereas, when you see a dentist for professional teeth whitening, you can have treatment that will not leave you with inconsistent results.

DIY kits also usually need to be used so much so that you are likely to experience tooth sensitivity. This is because DIY kits are typically not as effective as professional whitening treatments and won’t give you the results that you want.
